Overview
The CareFusion SprintPack Lithium-Ion Power System provides portable backup power for compatible LTV ventilators. It holds and manages rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, powers the ventilator during mobile use, and recharges the batteries when connected to an approved power source.
The SprintPack system uses a Power Manager and rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs. The Power Manager holds two SprintPack batteries, manages charging, and supplies external power to the connected LTV ventilator. When one battery depletes, the system can switch to the second battery to help maintain power output.
This power system also works with an approved external power source. When connected, it can power the ventilator and recharge the SprintPack batteries at the same time. This helps support longer operating periods and reduces the need to remove the ventilator from service for battery charging.
